— Funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at the Hopefield church near Moundridge for Mrs. Mary Kaufman, 70, wife of Leonard N. Kaufman, who died Sunday at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital here. The services were in charge of Rev. Arnold Epp, Rev. H. B. Schmidt and Rev. P. A. Wedel. Mrs. Kaufman was the former Mary Schrag of the Freeman, S. D. community and had lived in Newton for 22 years. Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, three sons, seven sisters, three brothers, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
