FLORA JANE KAUFMAN

Flora Jane Kaufman, daughter of Wesley and Alice (Graber) Kaufman, was born at Freeman, South Dakota June 24, 1942, and departed this life to rest on the bosom of her Saviour at 11 o'clock in the morning July 21, 1949, her death being caused by polio. She reached the age of 7 years and 27 days.

She leaves to mourn her early departure, her bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kaufman, an only sister, Winifred Ann, one great grandmother, four grandparents, twenty-four uncles and aunts, many cousins and a host of friends. One grandmother, one uncle and one aunt preceded her in death.

During her brief period of life Flora Jane brought much joy and sunshine into the home of her parents and sister, as well as to all who intimately knew her. Even though the life span of Flora Jane was very brief, she will be missed in the home, the school and the Sunday school. The shadow of death has darkened this home, but it has brought it closer to heaven.
