Goshen, Ind. &#8212; A pickup truck crashed into a bicycle shortly after dark Dec. 2 near Etna Green, fatally injuring the bicycle rider, 85-year-old Samuel J. Kauffman of rural Etna Green. The driver of the pickup said he was blinded by lights of an oncoming vehicle.

Mr. Kauffman, a member of the Amish church, was a native of the Shipshewana community but had lived near Etna Green for 35 years. He leaves three daughters and three sons and their families, one sister and two brothers.

Aged Indiana Amish Man Killed While Riding Bicycle

Goshen, Ind. — A pickup truck crashed into a bicycle shortly after dark Dec. 2 near Etna Green, fatally injuring the bicycle rider, 85-year-old Samuel J. Kauffman of rural Etna Green. The driver of the pickup said he was blinded by lights of an oncoming vehicle.

Mr. Kauffman, a member of the Amish church, was a native of the Shipshewana community but had lived near Etna Green for 35 years. He leaves three daughters and three sons and their families, one sister and two brothers.
