School Principal And Pastor Dies In Pennsylvania

Ephrata, Pa. — Rev. Robert C. Kauffman, 44, of rural Denver, Pa. died May 23 at the Reading Hospital where he had been a patient for 10 days.

Rev. Kauffman had been principal of Gehman's Mennonite School near Denver for the past nine years. He also served as pastor of the Hampden Mennonite Church, where he was ordained to the ministry in August 1973. He was a director of Lancaster Mennonite School.

Survivors include his widow, the former Ruth Brendle; two sons, J. Robert and Glenn, and two daughters, Janet and Joyce, all of the home; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Kauffman of Richfield, Pa.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, May 26, at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church.
