Funeral services for Mabel (Erb) Kauffman, 98, of Hesston, were held May 13 at Hesston Mennonite Church. Phil Bedsworth, Paul Friesen and Wesley Jantz officiated. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery, Hesston. She died May 9 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. Survivors include two sons, Daniel of Goshen, Ind., Robert of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Lois Roth and Melva Kauffman, both of Hesston; three sisters, Ruth Ebersole of Goshen, Amy Yoder of Hesston and Leah Yordy of Denver; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her husband, James, preceded her in death in 1933.
