PETER J. KASDORF

Peter J. Kasdorf of Niverville, Man. passed away on November 20. He was born on February 3, 1908 in southern Russia; at age 13 moved to Siberia; married Susannah Unruh in 1929: one week later they immigrated to Canada, settling south of Morden, Man.; after about 10 years, the couple committed their lives to God, were baptized and joined the Morden MB Church; moved to Niverville in 1950 and transferred to the MB church there. For his last three months he struggled with cancer. He is survived by his wife Susannah; seven sons and wives: John and Elizabeth, Henry and Mary, Jake and Judy, Abe and Rosalind of Niverville, Pete and Adina of Delta, B.C., Corny and Sharon, and Frank and Darlene of Winnipeg; nine daughters and husbands: Anne and Corny Neufeld, Susan and Rudy Martens of Steinbach, Man., Jessie and John Martens of Winnipeg, Helen and John Koslowsky, Frieda and Pete Loeppky, Linda and John Loeppky, and Hilda of Niverville, Mary and Edward Loeppky of Kelowna, B.C. and Betty of Cambridge Bay, NWT; 43 grand children, one great-grandchild, two sisters and four brothers. The funeral was held November 24 in the Niverville church, with pastor Abe Konrad and Frank H. Friesen officiating.
