JOSEPH E. KANDEL

Joseph E. Kandel, 77, of Millersburg, Ohio died at his residence on Sunday, Oct. 10, following a two-year illness.

Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Zion Conservative Mennonite Church at Benton, Ohio with Bro. Atlee Barkman officiating. Burial was made at the Martins Creek Church Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 1, 1894 in Holmes County, Ohio to Eli A. and Sarah Weaver Kandel. He was married to Lydia Mast on Jan. 1, 1920.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Clayton M. and Forrest J., both of R. 4, Millesrburg, Robert J. of Berlin, and Clifford J. of Benton; three daughters, Mrs. Freeman (Mary) Troyer of R. 5, Millersburg, Mrs. Clarence (Ethel) Miller of R. 2, Orrville, Mrs. Allen (Fern) Miller of Sarasota, Fla.; 32 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fannie E. of Berlin.

Three brothers preceded him in death.
