INJURIES SUFFERED IN HIGHWAY ACCIDENT FATAL TO FATHER OF SIX
Belleville, Penn. — Funeral services for David Kanagy, 44-year-old farmer of the Amish community here who was badly hurt in a highway accident several weeks earlier, were held Sunday, June 12, at the home. Jesse Spicher and Jacob Hershberger officiated.
While returning home from a trip to Virginia with his wife and daughter, he lost control of his truck and it overturned several times. He suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries.
Surviving are his wife, the former Nancy Peachey, and six children, Leroy, Mary, Rebecca, Jacob, Jessie and Lena, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kanagy of Stuarts Draft, Va.; and a number of brothers and sisters. A brother, Lee Kanagy, serves as a missionary in Japan.
