MARTIN F. JUST
Martin F. Just, son of Fred and Florentine Patzkowsky Just, was born on May 31, 1896, near Fairview, Okla. Here he spent his childhood days and grew to manhood.
He found peace by placing his his [sic] faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and based his salvation on Mark16:16, "He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved." He was baptized by his uncle, Rev. M. M. Just on Sept. 24, 1911, and united with the Mennonite Brethren Church of Fairview for fellowship.
In 1917 he was married to Leah Ollenberger. This union was blessed by two children, one son and one daughter. The son, Lawrence, passed away in infancy.
The first years of their married life was spent on a farm in Beaver County, Okla. After this the family moved to Ingalls, Kansas, where our brother was active teaching Sunday School in the local church.
The last years of his life were spent in traveling and transporting trailer houses across the country. The last week of his life he took a trailer house to Modesto, then returned to San Diego and transported a trailer house from there to Florida. On Wednesday evening, April 3, 1957, he reached Pensacola, Florida, and stopped early to retire in the trailer house. Here he passed away suddenly and went to meet his Maker. We regret that he had to leave so suddenly but we bank our hopes on the grace of God that we shall meet him again.
He reached the age of 60 years, 10 months, and three days.
Those who remain to mourn at his departure are the following: His wife, Mrs. Leah Ollenberger Just of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Bessie, Mrs. Powell of Las Vegas, Nevada; one grandson, Larry Powell; his step-mother, Mrs. Augusta Just; two brothers, Fred of Hillsboro, Kansas, and Herbert of Fresno; four sisters, Minnie, Mrs. Peter J. Wall of Reedley, Calif., Anna, Mrs. Henry Heiers of Reedley, Mary, Mrs. Albert Ollenberger of Fresno, and Martha, Mrs. Friesen of Reedley.
