— According to a news report just received from Hillsboro, Prof. R. Just of the Tabor College faculty was notified that his mother, Mrs. Henry Just of Dinuba, Calif. died there Monday morning, Oct 16. Prof. Just and wife, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Cornelson of Hillsboro left Monday noon by car to attend the funeral services.

EVA UNRUH JUST

Mrs. Eva Unruh Just was born near Hillsboro, Kansas, February 13, 1883.

In her early youth she with her parents moved to Fairview, Oklahoma. There at the age of 12, February 19, 1895, she experienced the joy of accepting Christ as her personal Savior and on April 14, 1895, was baptized by Elder Foth and was welcomed into the fellowship of the Mennonite Brethren church of which she remained a faithful member.

On October 27, 1905, she was united in holy matrimony to H. M. Just. The Lord blessed this home for 45 years less 11 days. To this union four sons and one daughter were born of which two sons and one daughter survive.

The early home was established at Boyd, Oklahoma, and after 13 years the family moved to Reedley, California. Before moving to Dinuba in 1934 the family resided at Dalhart, Texas, for several years.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her sincere devotion to God and enjoyment in reading His Word as well as much time spent in meditation and prayer gave her an abundance of joy and peace.

Often she poured out her heart in prayer to her Heavenly Father for the family. She received great joy in seeing her children saved and establish Christian homes. She was especially overjoyed when one after another of her grandchildren was saved. She was a constant influence toward good and her presence was a shield against evil.

Her deep interest in "shut-ins” and those in trying circumstances prompted her to send over 4000 cards of comfort and cheer. These expressions of kindness brought joy to friends far and near. These joys were shared in her own heart.

Her heart ailment caused her many hours of silent suffering but her unwavering faith and trust in God's saving and keeping power were her source of strength. She found comfort in Psalms 91:2, "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

Her heart condition worsened during the summer and was the cause of her passing. She quietly joined the heavenly hosts on Monday, October 16, at 4:40 in the morning. She reached the age of 67 years, eight months and three days.

She is survived by her husband H. M. Just, two sons and a daughter, Marvin Just and Mrs. Pauline Bartel of Dinuba, and Roy Just of Hillsboro, Kansas; six grandchildren, Marvin Jr., Carolyn, Janice and Connie Just; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. P. C. Eitzen and Mrs. J. S. Bergthold of Reedley and A. H. Unruh of Dinuba, and a host of relatives and friends.

She has overcome — thanks be to God — her suffering is ended. Hers is now to enjoy through all eternity peace and rest. Every remembrance of her will be cherished.

We sorrow, but not as those who have no hope, but look foreward [sic] to a joyful reunion.
