Indiana Youth Killed in Logging Accident</center>

Goshen, Ind. — A logging accident in the Perry Hershberger woods east of Shipshewana May 7 claimed the life of 21-year-old Paul Jones, son of Levi and Amanda Jones of the Amish community there.

The young man was helping secure timber to make lumber for tornado reconstruction work when he was fatally hurt. An employee of the Monroe Miller sawmill, he was using a bulldozer to push a tree through the woods when one end hit a snag. The tree rolled up over the machine and pinned him on the seat.

The youth had returned home March 22 after completing two years of 1-W service at the Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colo.

Surviving are his parents, six sisters, six brothers, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Gingerich of Route 2, Shipshewana.
