Child Dies After Swallowing Pills

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for little Rachael Nonlee Johns, 17-month-old daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Galen Johns, were held March 25 at the Benton Mennonite church where her father serves as pastor. E. J. Yoder and Lewis Miller officiated.

The little girl passed away at Goshen hospital early Tuesday March 23, as the result of swallowing a number of pain pills Monday forenoon. The parents did not discover that she had taken the pills until noon, when she became ill.

Besides the parents, she leaves two brothers and a sister, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Hoover of New Paris and Rev. and Mrs. Ira Johns, R1, Goshen.
