Mrs. Anna Good Jennings, 91, wife of Rev. William Jennings, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Dec. 21, 1965, at the Virginia Mennonite Home, Harrisonburg, Va., where she was a resident.

Mrs. Jennings was born Oct. 1, 1874 near Broadway, Va., daughter of the late Henry and Susan Ressler Good.

On Oct . 6, 1894 she married Rev. William Jennings and with her husband served Mennonite churches of East Tennessee for many years. Mr. Jennings also did evangelistic work in Virginia and West Virginia for 25 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Jennings have been residents of the Mennonite Home for three years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by 11 children, Henry Jennings of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Stella Berkey of Smithville, Ohio, Ervin and Rev. Joseph Jennings, both of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Ada Wade of Sterling, Ill., Mrs. Lina Swope of Kouts, Ind., Mrs. Clara Raber of Sarasota, Fla., Dr. William E. Jennings of Columbus, Ohio, Ethan Jennings of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Anna Brunk of Lombard, Ill., and John Jennings of Goshen, Ind.

She also leaves 36 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; a sister, Miss Mary Good of Goshen, Ind., and a brother, John Good of Knoxville, Tenn.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. , Dec. 24, at Weaver's Mennonite Church by Rev. John H. Shenk and Rev. Mahlon Blosser. The Singing Messengers gave three selections in song. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Wife of Retired Bishop And Evangelist Dies

Harrison, Va. — Mrs. Anna Good Jennings, 91, wife of Bishop William Jennings, died Dec. 21 at the Virginia Mennonite Home here.

Bishop Jennings, now retired, served for many years as minister and bishop of Mennonite churches in eastern Tennessee and also engaged in evangelistic work in Virginia and West Virginia for about 25 years. He and his wife marked their 71st wedding anniversary last Oct. 6.

Besides Bishop Jennings, the large family of survivors includes 11 children, 36 grandchildren, and 63 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Good of Goshen, Ind.; and a brother, John Good of Knoxville, Tenn.

The funeral was arranged for Dec. 24 at Weavers Mennonite Church here.

MRS. ANNA JENNINGS
