Winkler, Man. &#8212; Mrs. Henry H. Janzen, 58, nee Mary Peters, passed away at her farm home in Burwalde on Sunday, Nov. 14, after a brief illness following a stroke the previous Tuesday.

Funeral services were held from the Mennonite Brethren church here Saturday, Nov. 20.

Mrs. Janzen was born at Inman, Kansas, in 1896, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Esau Peters. With her parents she moved to the Peace River district of Alberta in 1918 and came to Winkler in 1923. Her death has taken the third daughter of this family in recent years. Annie Peters died in 1952 and Mrs. Agnes Peters Janzen (and her daughter) perished in the severe blizzard that struck this area on March 15, 1941. Their mother died in 1951.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband; her daughter, Rosa; a sister, Mrs. Tina Peters Rempel; and six brothers: Jake and Abe at Greensburg, Kansas; John at Inman, Kansas; and Ben and Frank at Winkler.

NATIVE OF KANSAS CALLED BY DEATH AT BURWALDE, MANITOBA

Winkler, Man. — Mrs. Henry H. Janzen, 58, nee Mary Peters, passed away at her farm home in Burwalde on Sunday, Nov. 14, after a brief illness following a stroke the previous Tuesday.

Funeral services were held from the Mennonite Brethren church here Saturday, Nov. 20.

Mrs. Janzen was born at Inman, Kansas, in 1896, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Esau Peters. With her parents she moved to the Peace River district of Alberta in 1918 and came to Winkler in 1923. Her death has taken the third daughter of this family in recent years.
