His parents later moved to Trubetzkoy where he spent his childhood and youth. He spent the six years following 1914 wearing the uniform of a cavalry division. The bride's parents and brothers and sisters came along. The couple settled in Bruno, Sask., where Mr. Janzen worked in the grocery and retail business. He continued to work in this business after the couple moved to Greendale, B.C. in 1934. In 1976 they moved to Clearbook.
Mr. Janzen's aim in life was to serve he Lord by serving his fellow men in the church, the community, and the home. He served the church as an usher, chairman and janitor. He served his community as a coordinator, director and spokesman. He was an understanding husband and a dedicated father. He is survived by his wife Lena; two sons, Johnny of Courtenay, B.C., and Fred of Pemberton B.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Nick (Lena) Harder of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ron (Nettie) Yeske and (Mrs.) Rosella Wiebe of Edmonton; six sisters, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
