MRS. HELENE JANZEN

(Mrs.) Helene Janzen (nee Wiebe) was born on July 29, 1896 in Russia. After several years of illness she passed away on October 9 while a resident of Tabor Manor, St. Catharines, Ontario.

She was married in 1920, and in 1922 was baptized and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church.

During the Second World War she was separated from her husband and most of her family. Consequently only she and her young son Jim came to Canada in 1947. They settled first in Manitoba, and five years later moved to Ontario where she was reunited with her son John. She lived in Beamsville until about one year ago, when she moved to Tabor Manor.

She is mourned by two sons and their wives: John and Elfrieda of Beamsville, and Jim and Hertha of Grimsby, Ont.; one daughter Lena in the Soviet Union; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
