GARY STEPHEN JANZEN
Funeral services were held in the Willingdon Mennonite Brethren Church at Burnaby, B.C. for Gary Stephen Janzen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Janzen of New Westminster, B.C. Officiating at the service was the Rev. G. L. Braun, assisted by Rev. D. B. Wiens.
Gary was born in Vancouver on August 15, 1958. At the age of four he accepted Christ, and his unwavering faith left a vivid impression on his teachers during his later school years. He attended Sunday school regularly, read his Bible, and participated freely in evening devotions.
On July 27, he was invited to go for a ride in his uncle's new boat. While his uncle went to a nearby service station to attend to some needed repairs for the boat, Gary is presumed to have fallen overboard. His body was recovered 9 days later.
The Lord took Gary home at the age of seven years, 11 months, and 12 days. The family cannot understand God's ways but finds comfort in Isaiah 55:8,9. Gary is survived and lovingly remembered by his parents; two sisters; Debra and Janet; his grandparents; and many friends and relatives.
