DEATH CLAIMS INDIAN MISSIONARY

Reverend F. A. Janzen, M. B. Missionary in India, Dies October 8

Mt. Lake, Minn., Oct. 13 — this community was shocked by another sad report on Monday morning of the death of Rev. Frank A. Janzen, missionary at Wanaparty, Decan, India. According to the message, Rev. Janzen has succumbed to intestinal trouble on Saturday, Oct. 8th.

Rev. F. A. Janzen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aron F. Janzen, of Mountain Lake. He has spent some sixteen years as missionary in India. After the first nine years of service Rev. and Mrs. Janzen came home for furlough. Now they had labored another seven years and the time was approaching where they planned on coming home for the second furlough. We understand that they were expected here early next year. Since Rev. Janzen has answered the final call to his rest, his family of wife and three sons will no doubt return to America this fall. The oldest son is 19 years of age.

In August, 1907, Rev. Janzen married Miss Lizzie Dickman. After attending Moody's Institute at Chicago, Rev. Janzen and family followed their call to India as the representatives of the M. B. Conference. Their service among the heathen as well as here at home have been blessed by success. A brother of the deceased, Rev. Aron A. Janzen, who at present is at home on furlough has ministered to the heathen in Africa for several terms. Rev. Frank Janzen reached an age of 47 years. His death will be deeply regretted by all who know him.

Next Sunday afternoon the local M. B. congregation has arranged for a memorial service in honor of the departed missionary. — Mt. Lake View.
