text of obituary:
HELEN C. JANTZEN
Helen C. Jantzen was born on a farm near Plymouth, Neb. on Dec. 27, 1907 to Herman and Cornelia (Martens) Jantzen.
Her early years were spent on the farm helping her parents. She received her education in School District No. 38. After completing grade school, she attended Bible school for two years.
She attended Sunday school and church. On May 23, 1926, upon confession of her faith, she was baptized by Elder Franz Albrecht, and was received as a member of the congregation.
She lived on the farm with her parents and sister until her father passed away on May 22, 1947. After her mother and sister sold the farm and moved to Beatrice, she started to work in the Mennonite Hospital in the housekeeping department. She continued there until she became ill about 15 weeks ago. She was very conscientious about her work. She liked to read, and could tell stories in a very interesting way.
She passed away at the Mennonite Hospital on Jan. 26, 1971.
Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by one sister and many relatives and friends.
I look beyond the valley of the shadow of death to the great resurrection day when we shall meet again in the presence of the Lord.
