text of obituary:

text of obituary:
HENRY C. JANTZEN
Henry C. Jantzen was born in Russia, December 3, 1878. He was the son of Abraham and Catharine Jantzen.
In 1884, at the age of six years, he came with his parents and others to America. They settled on a farm in Gage county, Nebraska, where he grew to manhood. He received his training in the district and parochial schools.
On June 6, 1897, he was baptized on his confession of faith and united with the Mennonite church. Later he moved on a farm near Plymouth, Nebraska, and on January 31, 1907, he was united in marriage to Marie Ensz.
Since they were not blessed with children of their own, they adopted a son in 1914. With joy they received him into their home and showed him much love.
In 1924 they moved on their own farm 10 miles west of Beatrice.
Eight years ago on October 24 sorrow entered the home when his wife suddenly passed away. Patiently he bore the sorrow and yielded to God's will.
Eight months ago he left his farm and moved to Beatrice.
On October 10 he underwent a serious operation from which he never recovered. God gave him much grace on his bed of suffering and he bore it with great patience and yieldedness until on November 20, 1944, he quietly fell asleep to be with the Lord.
He attained an age of 65 years, 11 months and 26 days.
He lived a consistent Christian life, was always interested in the furtherance of the Gospel and was willing to do his part in serving the Lord in His vineyard.
Although he was often lonely during the last eight years, he lifted up his eyes unto the hills from whence cometh our help. We sorrow not as such that have no hope, but rejoice that he is beholding Him in whom he believed.
He leaves his son Carl, who will mourn nis loss, two brothers, John B. and Jacob P. Janzten [sic Jantzen]; one sister Catherine, and many relatives and friends. — The Family.
