• Mrs. Ezra Jantz, 74, of Hesston died Oct. 21 at Axtell Hospital here. The funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at the Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, with Rev. Jerry Weaver officiating. Mrs. Jantz was the former Ruth Hawkey, and was married to Ezra Jantz in 1912. They farmed in the Hesston community until moving to Hesston in 1963. Surviving in addition to the widower are sons Earl of Wichita, Melvin of McPherson, Wayne of Newton, and Paul of Rapid city, S. D.; three daughters, Mrs. Bernard Hershberger of Wellman, Ia.; Mrs. John Snyder and Mrs. Clarence Orpin of Hesston; 23 grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters.
