FRANCES LOUISE JANTZ

Frances Louise Jantz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jantz, was born February 1, 1935, near Alden, Okla. in Caddo county. On November 12, 1947, at the age of 12, she underwent a serious operation at St. Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City, for a brain tumor. In December of the same year, she had a second operation, and in January, 1948 she submitted to a third operation for the same trouble. From all of these she recovered only temporarily. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour during her illness. When after a time she was strong enough to attend church again she was baptized and received into the Greenfield Mennonite church, where she remained a faithful and helpful member until her death on July 28, 1950.

She was baptized on May 9, 1948 at the age of 13. In the fall of 1948 she again began to fail in health and the parents took her to Mineral Wells, Texas for a series of treatments. For a time these helped her but during the month of June she began to lose ground rapidly. She became bedfast on July 4. From then on all that loving hands could do was done, but her days were numbered and at 7:10 p.m. on July 28 she was taken up to glory by the Saviour, whom she loved so dearly.

She reached the age of 15 years, five months and 27 days. She leaves to mourn her early departure, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jantz: one sister, Mrs. Clyde Ray; one brother Jimmy of the home; one brother-in-law; one nephew, Allen Ray; and several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.

We grieve, but not as those who have no hope, for we rest assured that she is now with her Lord where there is no pain and sorrow. — The Family.
