FORMER MT. LAKE CITIZEN DIES IN SASKATCHEWAN

Mt. Lake, Minn., Oct 18. — D. D. Isaac, for many years a resident of Mountain Lake, died at his home in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, on Saturday, October 6th, according to word received here. Mr. Isaac reached an age of about sixty years. He came to this country in his youth, and settled here in Mountain Lake. His wife was a sister to Mrs. J. C. Koehn. Together with John Klein, he built the Grand Hotel, a spacious hostelry in pioneer days. this is the same building which is now known as the Basinger Annex. After that he occupied the farm, which is now owned by Jacob Epp.

He left Mountain Lake some years ago, to go to Canada, and has lived there the remainder of his days. He was in the elavator [sic] business there until cancer, which caused his death, began its ravages.

He leaves three children, all of whom are well remembered here. They are Henry, Waldimar and Olga. Waldimar, reports say, is a successful wholesale druggist in Saskatoon, Saskatchwan [sic Saskatchewan]. — Mt. Lake Observer.
