text of obituary:
PETER F. HUEBERT
Peter F. Huebert was born to Jacob and Aganetha (Friesen) Huebert on May 10, 1901 at Henderson, Neb. He spent his childhood and received his education in this community.
He accepted Christ and was baptized on June 4, 1922.
He and Marie Wiebe were married in October 1922. To this union three daughters were born — Estalene, Alene, and Jane. In 1925 the family moved to Perkins County, Nebraska where our mother passed away in 1929.
In 1930 he met and married Helen Krause. Two sons, Lewis Dean and Warren Dale, were born to this union. Lewis Deane passed away in infancy.
We lived on a farm in Perkins County, Nebraska until 1944 when we moved to Fresno, Calif. Here he was employed by Sears Roebuck until 1963 when he had to retire because of ill health.
In 1970 father and mother celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
During his illness father never complained. He was always willing and ready to help any of us when we needed him. His deepest concern was for the spiritual welfare of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed nothing more than to have his family around him. He won many friends, both young and old, through his acts of kindness and love that only he could express in his own unselfish way.
During their retirement, father and mother enjoyed extensive traveling. He also acquired many hobbies.
On Jan. 22, 1971 father went to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two sisters, and three brothers. Those who will miss him are: his wife, Helen; daughters, Estalene Cockirell, Alene Langston, and Jane Loewen, and a son, Warren Huebert; 10 grandchildren,; one brother, John Huebert, one sister, Marie Regier, both of Nebraska; and a host of relatives and friends.
We mourn not as those who have no hope. We rejoice in the hope that we have through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Funeral services were conducted on Jan. 26 in the Mennonite Community Church of Fresno, of which he was a charter member. Pastor G. S. Stoneback officiated. — The Family.
