MRS. ANNA (FRIESEN) HUEBERT
It pleased the Lord of life and death to call Home our wife and mother, Mrs. Anna (Friesen) Huebert, daughter of the late Jacob B. and Katherine Friesen. She was born on May 1, 1902, near Henderson, Neb. and lived in the Henderson community all her life.
On May 16, 1921, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith in Christ as her Saviour and became a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church of which she remained a faithful member until her death.
On August 23, 1922, she was united in marriage to Henry H. Huebert. They shared the joys and sorrows of life for 35 years. To this union where born 11 children, of whom eight are still living.
Mrs. Huebert was suddenly called to her heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 12:30 o'clock. Her health was not the best but death came unexpectedly. She reached the age of 55 years, eight months and 24 days.
The family lived on the farm most of the time. For a little more than a year they have lived in their home in Henderson which she enjoyed very much. Mother was a good provider for us at home and went about her work willingly and uncomplainingly even though she might have had pain. She loved her family dearly and was always willing to serve where she could. She often repeated the 23rd Psalm which was her favorite passage from God's Word.
Although she felt incapable of audibly serving her Lord, she served Him in praise, prayer and in giving. She was thankful that her children were called to serve in the church and her prayer was that they serve Him more faithfully in the days to come. She also was thankful that Johnnie was led of the Lord to serve Him in South America.
She leaves to mourn her departure her loving husband, Henry; eight children: Leo, Milton, Darlene (Mrs. John Steingard), Jennie (Mrs. Robert W. Friesen), Twila (Mrs. Lauren Penner), Johnnie, Patricia and Emiline; two daughters-in-law and three sons-in-law; 15 grandchildren; her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Huebert; one brother, George E. Friesen; three sisters, Marie, Mrs. Henry J. Siebert of Luton, Iowa, Margaret, Mrs. Aaron Siebert of Lushton, Neb. and Lena Friesen of Henderson; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law and a host of relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were three children, Harvey in infancy, Adeline, at 13 years, Lester, at 17 years; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob B. Friesen; and two sisters.
