MRS. DELLA HOSTETLER

Mrs. Della Hostetler, daughter of Ferdinand and Lina (Gerber) Balmer was born Jan. 8, 1898 near Harper, Kan. where she resided until her death on Sept. 3, 1968; age 70 years, seven months and 24 days.

In 1914 she accepted Christ and was baptized into the Body of Christ, and became a member of the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, where she remained active all her life.

On Nov. 11, 1917, she was married to Ura H. Hostetler, and together they shared the joys and sorrows of life for 50 years. To this union were born four sons and two daughters. They and their spouses are: Lester and Elsie Hostetler, Thelma and Joe Kauffman, Albert and Alma Hostetler, Dewey and Bernie Hostetler, Rosalea Yoder, Delmar and Kay Hostetler, all of Harper. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and three grandsons-in-law.

Also surviving are five sisters: Lavina Hartzler, Whichita [sic Wichita]; Lillie Roupp, Hesston; Dessie Headrick, LaJunta, Colo.; Ruth Hostetler and Rena Glassburn, Harper.

Memorial services were held Sept. 9, 1968, at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church with H. Eugene Herr, Henry J. King, and Gideon G. Yoder officiating. Interment was made in Pleasant Valley Mennonite Cemetery.
