Leaves Over 300 Descendants
Buffalo, Mo. — David Hostetler, 85, who died here Nov. 9 at the home of a son, Ora Hostetler, leaves a total of 309 descendants.
The large family includes five sons, three daughters, 50 grandchildren, 220 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Born near East Lynne, Mo., Mr. Hostetler resided in the Prophetstown, Ill. community until two years ago. A large group of Amish Mennonites from Prophetstown have moved to this southwest Missouri region in recent years.
Memorial services were conducted here Nov. 11, after which the body was returned to Illinois for final services and burial at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church, Tampico.
