Two Called by Death In Iowa Community

Kalona, Iowa. — Two residents of this area who came here from other states were called away in death recently.

Aaron H. Hostetler, 56, a native of Belleville, Pa. who came to Iowa in 1926, died at University Hospital in Iowa City on April 24 after a two-month illness. Funeral services were held at the East Union Mennonite Church near here, of which he was a member.

Recently Mr. Hostetler had been employed at the University Print Shop. Survivors include his widow, the former Mary Bontrager, one daughter, one son, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hostetler of Sarasota, Fla.

Jacob F. Mast, 74, a member of the Amish church, died at his home April 20. A native of Elkhart County, Ind., he was married to Sarah Chupp in Ness County, Kan. After her death he was married to Barbara Chupp in Reno County, Kan. She survives with five children of the first marriage, four of the second marriage, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
