Pre-Medical Student Called by Death

Kalona, Iowa — Funeral services for Clarence M. Hostetler, 25, of San Francisco, Calif. and formerly of this community, were held Oct. 11 at the East Union Mennonite Church near here.

The young man died at University Hospital in Iowa City after being a patient there for five days. He was an x-ray technician and had enrolled as a pre-medical student at the University of San Francisco when stricken.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hostetler, he was a graduate of Iowa Mennonite School and attended Hesston College. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife and an infant daughter, one sister and one brother.
