Fall Claims Life Of Farmer, Father Of 15 Children

Ephrata, Pa. — While helping tear down a shed north of here on March 26, Walter M. Horst, 52, lost his balance and fell 20 feet to the ground, causing instant death from a broken neck and fractured skull.

A native of this area, Mr. Horst was married to the former Elizabeth Weaver. She survives with 15 children, three of whom are married; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George G. Horst of rural Ephrata; nine grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters.

The Horst family resides on a farm near Hinkletown.

Funeral services were conducted on March 29 at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, with Bishop Aaron Sensenig officiating.
