FORMER SINGING SCHOOL TEACHER IN KANSAS DIES IN OREGON
Harper, Kan. — Relatives here have received word that Abram G. Horst, former resident of the Pennsylvania church community near Hesston, died Feb. 27 of a heart attack at Portland, Oregon.
A native of Maryland, he taught music in a singing school near Peabody, Kan. when he first came to Kansas more than 50 years ago. He composed a considerable amount of music, even after his sight failed. In later years he was a member of the Nazarene church.
Surviving are one brother and three sisters, all of Hagerstown, Md.
