Goshen, Ind. — Mrs. Christine Horsch, 95, widow of a prominent Mennonite church historian and writer, died Feb. 5 at the Goshen General Hospital. For the past 11 years she had resided here with her daughter, Mrs. H. S. (Elizabeth) Bender.

The body was taken to her former home at Scottdale, Pa., where funeral services were conducted Feb. 7 by Rev. Gerald Studer.

Mrs. Horsch was born near Heilbronn, Wuerttemburg, Germany on May 27, 1870. She came to the United States in 1893, and in the same year was married to John Horsch, also a native of Germany. Mr. Horsch engaged in publication work and made a lasting contribution in the field of Mennonite history and research. He wrote a number of books and pamphlets as well as contributing to periodicals.
