AUGUSTA HORN

Augusta Horn, daughter of Emil and Elizabeth Hinz, was born March 23, 1885, at Inman, Kan., and passed away Oct. 6, in the Lingenfelter Clinic of Clinton, Okla., reaching the age of 75 years, 6 months and 14 days.

With her parents she came to Oklahoma to the Corn community east of the Washita river. She received her education in the Greenfield school.

She was baptized upon the confession of her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior on May 30, 1902, by Rev. Abraham Rzatzlaff and received into the membership of the Bergthal church at Corn, Okla.

On Oct. 26, 1905, she was married to Henry Horn. They lived on a farm near the Washita river. She joined the Herold church where she was a member until her death.

Their marriage was blessed with 12 children. Three children preceded her in death, two in their infancy and the oldest son, Walter on Oct. 29, 1954.

They remained on the farm until they retired and moved to Cordell in 1948. On Oct. 26, 1955, they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

For a number of years she suffered with sugar diabetes. While at the doctor on Oct. 6, she had a heart attack which caused her death.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, Henry Horn of Cordell; five sons Albert and Arnold of Corn, Paul and Henry of Cordell and Menno of Fresno, Calif., four daughters, Mrs. Marie Ratcliff of Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Mathilda Kroeker of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Amanda Koch of Cordell and Mrs. Lora May Friesen of Laird, Sask.; six daughters-in-law, four sons-in-law, 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

We will remember our wife and mother to have been faithful and loyal to her family, her Lord and her church. — The Family.
