AMISH BOY DROWNS IN BARREL

Selinsgrove, Pa. — A tragedy in the Amish settlement near Mt. Pleasant Mills claimed the life of two and a half year old Benjamin Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Hoover.

While running the little boy tripped over some boards and fell into a barrel containing about 12 inches of water, resulting in death by drowning. The family moved to their present home from Canada several years ago.
