Dies During Visit At Publishing House

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Maynard Hoover, 66, well-known News Paris poultryman and lay church worker, were to be held Oct. 20 at the Yellow Creek Frame Mennonite Church. Rev. Paul Landis, head of the Rod and Staff Publishing House at Crockett, Ky. was to officiate.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoover had gone to Kentucky for a board of directors meeting of the Rod and Staff Publishing House, and he became ill Sunday night, Oct. 16. He was admitted to the hospital in Paintsville, Ky., where he passed away.

Mr. Hoover was a farmer and operator of the Hoover Poultry Processing near New Paris. He was a member of the Faith Haven Mennonite Church.

The Rod and Staff Publishing House is supported by various unaffiliated Mennonite and Conservative Mennonite churches.
