— Relatives have received word of the death of Jake Hooge, 71, on March 6 at the Altona, Manitoba hospital where he had been a patient for some months due to a brain tumor. His wife, the former Gertrude Harms of Whitewater, died on Jan. 9 of this year. Their home was a Plum Coulee, Manitoba. Survivors include three daughters, 11 grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, one of whom, Mrs. Bill Harms, lives at McPherson. Relatives of Mrs. Hooge in this area include sisters, Laura Harms, Mrs. Fred Klassen and Marie Harms, all of Whitewater, and Sister Theodosia Harms of Newton, and a brother, Gerhard F. Harms of Whitewater.
