Amish Farmer Killed By Angry Bull

Goshen, Ind. — Word was received by John B. Hostetler of Goshen that a nephew, Alvin Hochstedler of the Amish settlement at Mountain View, Mo., was killed on Aug. 11 when gored by a bull at his farm home.

Survivors include his widow and a number of children.

A memorial service was held at Mountain View on Thursday morning, Aug. 12, after which the body was taken to Burr Oak, Mich. for final services and burial. The family had moved from Burr Oak to Mountain View several years ago.
