— Funeral services for Mrs. Emelia E. Hirschler, who died July 22 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital, were held Friday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church of Halstead, conducted by Rev. Peter Goering and Dr. D. C. Wedel. Mrs. Hirschler, 78, had been a Halstead resident most of her life. Born Oct. 1, 1891, at Trenton, Ill., she married Edgar L. Hirschler Oct. 30, 1917 and they were privileged to live together for more than 62 years, until his passing May 28, 1970. Survivors include two sons, Willard of Halstead and John of New Orleans, La.; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Hirschler, Topeka; two brothers, Milton Berger, Newton, and Dan Berger, Vega, Tex.; and two sisters, Mrs. M. H. Beutler, Ness City, and Katherine Berger, Van Nuys, Calif.
