TWO-YEAR-OLD BOY DIES AFTER BEING KICKED BY HORSE

Berne, Ind. — Two-year-old Christian B. Hilty, son of Jacob S. and Lydia Hilty of an Amish settlement near here, died at a Bluffton hospital a few hours after being kicked by a horse.

There were a number of visitors in the Hilty farmyard when a mare with a colt suddenly kicked the little boy. A witness reported that the animal then turned and stomped him with her front feet. An autopsy showed death was due to a liver injury.
