• Henry G. Hiebert, 73, lifelong resident of the Hillsboro community, died at Salem Hospital there Jan. 23 after a long illness. He and his wife, the former Margaret Ensz, retired from the farm several years ago to take up residence in Hillsboro. The funeral was conducted Friday afternoon at the Alexanderfeld Church near Hillsboro. Surviving in addition to the widow are seven sons, two brothers, two sisters, and 25 grandchildren. |

HENRY G. HIEBERT
Henry G. Hiebert was born to Peter and Anna (Goossen) Hiebert on Sept. 19, 1893, on a farm four miles southwest of Hillsboro, Kan. He attended the Hope Valley School, and lived in this community throughout his life.
He was baptized upon confession of faith by Elder John D. Dyck in December 1912, and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Margaret Ensz by her father, Min. Abr. G. Ensz on Aug. 10, 1919, at Inman, Kan. We lived on a farm three miles south of Hillsboro.
Father was industrious and a good provider. He loved to help along in Sunday school and other Christian activities. He was a director of Mercy Hospital for a number of years.
Seven sons were born into the family of whom six are married and have children.
Father enjoyed good health most of his life until several years ago. He passed away peacefully in the Lord in the Salem Hospital on Jan. 23, 1967, at the age of 73 years, four months and four days.
