Little Boy Drowns At Family Reunion
Steinbach, Man. — Funeral services were held at the Steinbach E.M. Church on July 27 for Clyde Jerome Hiebert, 18-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hiebert who drowned at a family gathering.
The Hieberts and three other families were attending a get-together at the St. Malo Provincial Park near St. Pierre on July 24 when the little boy wandered away from his parents and fell into the water. Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was applied by a lifeguard but to no avail.
