text of obituary:

MRS. MARGARET HIEBERT

(Mrs.) Margaret Hiebert was born on October 24, 1911 in Jelanskaja, Ufa in Russia, the daughter of John and Katherine Neumann. In 1925 the family moved to Canada, settling first in New Hamburg, Ontario and then moving to Port Rowan, Ontario a short time later. This town remained her home until her passing on November 28, 1977. She accepted Christ as her Saviour in her younger years and was baptized in the Port Rowan Mennonite Brethren Church in 1928. Henry Hiebert became her husband on February 18, 1934. Their marriage was blessed with 10 children, two of whom predeceased her as infants.

Mrs. Hiebert, though quiet and reserved by nature, was always ready and willing to serve and enjoyed working with the ladies' Missionary Group at the church. The warmth of her friendship and her hospitality to both friends and total strangers was truly a godly example. The Word of God and joy in the Lord were her strength, and her life was characterized by faithful devotion to her family.

Left to mourn are her loving husband, Henry; her children: Carl of Waterloo, John of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Gordon of Beamsville, Paul of Simcoe, Henry of Port Rowan and Helen of St. Catharines, Ontario; Laura of Elm Creek and Eleanor of Carman, Manitoba; a brother, John Neumann, and a sister (Mrs.) Susan Hildebrand, both of Port Rowan; 22 grandchildren; and many friends.
