LLOYD HIEBERT

Lloyd Hiebert was born August 20, 1909 at Lehigh, Kansas, the son of Dietrich C. and Elizabeth Hiebert. With his parents he migrated to Canada in 1918 settling on a farm near Herbert, Sask. He was married to Suzie Wiebe of Herbert on October 20, 1932.

Lloyd was saved and soon after baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church at Herbert in 1930. He was active both in church and community affairs.

He enjoyed good health until December, 1964, when he suffered the first of several heart attacks. He passed away September 13, 1965, at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife Suzie; four daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Elsie) Thiessen of Sundre, Alta., Mrs. Gordon (Wynn) Lautermilch of Woodrow, Sasle, Mrs. Norman (Naomi) Gitzel of Herbert and Caroline; and numerous other friends and relatives. One daughter predeceased him in 1954.

The funeral was conducted in the Herbert Church on September 17 with Rev. Herman Voth in charge. A. H. Wieler of Hepburn also served at the funeral.
