On Oct. 9, 1902, he was married to Sara A. Buller. To this union were born four sons and five daughters, who, two weeks ago, were all reunited with their father.

In 1923 he removed with his family to Deshler, Nebraska. He transferred his church membership to the Presbyterian church there and served on the church board as Elder for six years, until ill health made it necessary for him to retire from this office.

He was a faithful employee of the Deshler Broom Factory until two years ago, when he retired because of failing health.

Mr. Hiebert was a devout Christian, a loving husband and father, and a good neighbor. In his daily living he exemplified the staid qualities of industry, thrift and honesty. He departed this life on Monday morning, April 8, at the age of 68 years, two months and three days.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sara Hiebert, and his children: Mrs. J. C. Sampson, St. Marys, Ohio; Mrs. M. J. Doell, Bradshaw, Nebraska; Mrs. F. E Dill, Rock Island, Ill.; Henry R. Hiebert, Berlin N. J.; Mrs. P. M. Thomas, Deshler Neb.; Eddie R. Hiebert and Albert M. Hiebert, Berlin, N. J.; Mrs. Carl Payne, Holdredge, Neb.; and Burnet P. Hiebert, Deshler, Neb.

The following children were present at the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Doell, Mrs. P. N. Thomas, Mrs. Carl Payne, and Burnet P. Hiebert. Surviving relatives include one sister, Mrs. George Funk, Hillsboro, Kansas; two brothers, Abe Hiebert, Peabody, Kansas; and John Hiebert, Newton, Kansas, and 14 grandchildren.

A brief funeral was held in Deshler, Nebraska. Tribute to the departed was given in another funeral service in this his former home church, the Alexanderwohl church, where he was baptized and received into the membership June 6, 1897.
