Birth date: 1923
text of obituary:
HENRY HIEBERT WAS ON WAY HOME TO MORDEN FROM WINNIPEG
Winkler, Man. — Henry Hiebert, 35, father of three children under five years of age, was killed in a one-vehicle traffic accident Saturday afternoon, July 5. The transport tractor he was driving home form Winnipeg to Morden slid into a highway ditch one mile west of Plum coulee, crushing him between the stove-in-cab roof, seat and steering wheel.
While the cause of the accident is not really known, it is thought that Hiebert probably fell asleep while driving for he had completed a long haul from Regina, Sask. to Winnipeg and a steady rain in the area made the road wet and slippery and visibility poor.
He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Suderman of Kane, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hiebert of Morden, and numerous other relatives and friends.
