Wife of Retired Professor Dies

Goshen, Ind. — Memorial services were held the afternoon of May 9 at the Goshen Mennonite Church here for Mrs. Anna R. Hertzler, 81, wife of Silas Hertzler. She died in a Phoenix, Ariz hospital on May 4 after a brief illness.

The memorial service was preceded by a prayer service for the family and burial in Violett Cemetery.

Dr. and Mrs. Hertzler had gone to Phoenix to spend the winter. He is a retired professor of education at Goshen College.

Survivors include a son, John M. of Lancaster, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Hostetler of College Station, Tex., Mrs. Ellis B. Croyle of Archbold, Ohio, and Mrs. Jerre A. DeVillbiss of Archbold, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Martin L. Weaver of Goshen; and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Grimm of Napa, Calif.

Mrs. Hertzler formerly worked as a private duty nurse.
