Young Father Crushed To Death When Tractor Overturns on Hill

Sugarcreek, Ohio. — A tractor accident near Mt. Eaton on Sept. 29 resulted in instant death for Wayne D. Hershberger, 22, of Mt. Hope.

The young man attempted to drive the tractor up a steep incline when it overturned, crushing his head and chest.

He was a member of the Amish church, and the funeral was conducted at the home of his parents, the Dan S. Hershbergers. Surviving also are his widow, the former Emma Coblentz, a year-old daughter, and brothers and sisters.
