Indiana Man Killed, Ten Injured in Crash

Goshen, Ind. — A two-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Harrisburg on Nov. 15 claimed the life of Simon Hershberger, 46, of Millersburg, Ind. and injured the 10 Amish passengers whom he was taking to a wedding in Lancaster County.

It is reported that a west-bound motorist crossed the center median and crashed headon into the van driven by Mr. Hershberger. Five of his passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries, and the other five were released after treatment. Two persons in the other car also required hospital care.

Funeral services for Mr. Hershberger were held Nov. 19 at the South Haven A. M. Church, Millersburg. Survivors include his wife, the former Erma D. Miller, six sons and one daughter, all at home.
