Retired Businessman Dies in Oregon Crash

Hubbard, Ore. — Funeral services were held at the Zion Mennonite Church here March 21 for Jacob J. Hershberger, 77, retired Woodburn business man who was instantly killed in a highway crash.

Mr. Hershberger was traveling alone on the Lebanon-Corvallis highway south of Albany when his car collided with a mobile home.

A native of Charm, Ohio, Mr. Hershberger came to Oregon in 1909. He lived at Hubbard before moving to Woodburn in 1935. He operated an auto agency at the latter place for many years.

Since the death of his wife, Malinda, last October he had been living part time at the Mennonite Home south of Albany.
