Goshen, Ind.—A pickup truck crashed headon into an Amish horse and buggy on US-20 west of Shipshewana the night of April 12, killing three-year-old Steven Ray Hershberger and seriously injuring his mother and uncle. All were riding in the buggy. Taken to Lagrange County Hospital and later transferred to Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne with fractures and possible internal injuries were Mrs. Wilma R. Hershberger, 27, and Daniel R. Hershberger, 17. The westbound pickup was passing another vehicle and the driver said he failed to see the oncoming horse and buggy.
